Michal Dahan is the founder and principal of Dahan Advisory LLC, established in 2019. With business, corporate, litigation and academic experience accrued in the halls of top international law firms and in- house leadership roles, she brings with her diverse legal knowledge and expertise and a well-rounded understanding of both legal and commercial strategy. 

 

Michal now focuses on advising clients on legal, business and regulatory matters across multiple industries, with particular depth in the financial services sector.

As General Counsel to ACGM, Inc., an SEC and FINRA registered broker dealer, and to Abadi & Co., a financial services company advising on emerging market governments, banks and private-sector entities, Michal led the legal function for more than six years.

Michal began her career as a Commercial Litigation Association for Milbank LLP where she represented major financial institutions and corporations in complex commercial litigation relating to commercial disputes, securities law, shareholder actions, bankruptcy and regulatory investigations. She also served as a litigator for inMotion, Inc. (now HerJustice), providing pro bono legal services to underserved women in matrimonial, family and immigration matters.

 

Her academic and research background includes roles with the Kiryat Ono Comparative Research Center and Shalom Comparative Law Center, where she contributed as a researcher, editor, consultant and guest lecturer.

Michal has been recognized for her commitment to public service, receiving the 2008 Legal Aid Society Pro Bono Award. She is a member of several professional legal associations, including the NY State Bar Association, and is admitted to practice law in New York. She is also a certified FINRA arbitrator.

Michal earned her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, graduating cum laude and on the Dean’s List, and her B.S. in Communications from Boston University, graduating magna cum laude. In 2016 she completed the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Mediation.
